The Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden will be a community treasure, a source of beauty and learning showcasing the importance of plants to life.

We will:

  • Create a botanical garden on the Sunshine Coast with an ecological vision.
  • Encourage partnerships with other botanical, horticultural, educational and cultural organizations locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Seek and develop a strong volunteer core and involve a diverse range of community members and organizations in the botanical garden.
  • Collect, preserve, document and promote a diversity of plants, including native plants, suited for cultivation in coastal British Columbia.
  • Promote education regarding the environment, ecology, organic methods, horticulture and ethnobotany.
  • Acquire real property, solicit and raise funds, and apply for grants to carry out the purposes of the Society and to accept donations for such purposes.
